Ultimate Teen Book Guide Challenge – 2011 Wrap Up

3 Jan

This is the first year that I’ve taken part in this challenge properly. This challenge is good because i kind of missed out on a lot of ‘teen’ books during my teens so now I’m going back to re-visit.

Books Read in 2011

1 – The Lovely Bones – Alice Sebold This book is nothing short of harrowing. It was quite a difficult book to read at times.
2 – The Screwtape Letters – C.S. Lewis Although this was quite a short book, i did find it quite difficult to read as it was letters to do with God and the devil.
3 – The Boy in the Striped Pajamas ~ John Boyne This was another very harrowing read, but one that should be read by everyone
4 – The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien This was my first time reading this and its brilliant.
5 – The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy- J.R.R Tolkien An absolutly fabulous trilogy, i neeed to go back and read this again one day.
6 – Day of the Triffids – John Wyndham I really enjoyed this book, one of my favourites of the year
7 – A Prayer for Owen Meany – John Irving I really didnt like this book at all 😦
8 – Confessions of a Shopaholic – Sophie Kinsella This is fabulous, i cant wait to read more in the series.

So i managed eight this year, not bad but next year I’m going to aim for 12 books.

Percentage Complete – 2.97

Books on TBR at the end of 2011 – 22

Books on Wishlist – 30

Target for 2012 – 12
