Its Monday! What are you Reading? 6th Feb

6 Feb

Its Monday! What are you Reading? is a weekly bookish meme held over on Book Journey.i struggled to find reading time earlier in the week, but it picked up at the weekend.

Books Read

I finished two books this week, both at the weekend and both Kindle e-books. i will be posting proper thoughts on these over the week.

The Golden Acorn – Catherine Cooper. After initial reservations about this book i really got into it and liked it a lot, so much that i cant wait to get the next in the series.

Frozen in Time – Ali Sparkes. This was seriously good, i always think how much the world has changed in the last few decades and this book highlights it perfectly.

Reading Now

In book form I’m (still!) reading The Love Trainer by Julia Llewllyn. It’s a good book, but i just havent had the time to pick this one up this week.

In kindle form I’m reading The Secret Holocaust Diaries – Nonna Bannister. I think this one is going to be a tear jerker.

Reading Next

Next up is Mistress Mashams Repose by T.S.White. this book was picked as the choice for the February reading circle over on the BCF.

Books Brought

a few kindle freebies, and Mistress Mashams Repose by T.S. White.

The Secret Holocaust Diaries sounds incredibly sad. Looks good, but totally agree with ya on the tears!

    Have a great reading week!

I finished SHADOW OF THE WIND by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and also THE WHITE LADY by Leonard Dubkin. Liked it a lot, not so much the Zafon book which just seemed to drag on and on.
I am currently reading KEEPING CHICKENS by Hobson and Lewis, which is a book about raising chickens for fun and enjoyment. So far it is very interesting and has colorful images on every page. It’s just amazing how many different varieties of chickens there are.
I didn’t buy any books this week but I did buy a magazine.

I have Shadow of the WInd on my wishlist, i need to get around to reading that soon.

Keeping chickens sounds interesting though 🙂
