I’ve had yet another busy week but have managed to do a bit of reading! I’ve having to write this post quickly so i can rush out of the door so excuse the lack of pictures!
Over the past week Ive read one book, The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. I really enjoyed this book and although its a fairly chick lit one its funny and quite a book that will stick with me for a while!
I’m currently reading The Vanishing Act by Mette Jakobsen. This is the book for the December Reading circle and im a little behind on it! Its good and id love to know whats going to happen!
Next up is a kindle book, Cold April by Phyllis A Humphrey. This is fictional book set on the Titanic so I’m hoping that it will be good!
Synopsis – Fresh from three years in America, Englishwoman Elizabeth Shallcross has big plans for her future, and they do not include remaining in England as a lowly governess. She finds, however, that she has one last obligation to fulfill; she must accompany Richard Graham, a dashing American widower, and care for his charming child on a luxurious voyage to America. Their ship? The Titanic. On this fateful trip two handsome men vie for her attention. But when the ship hits an iceberg, who will survive?
I brought one book from my wishlist this week, Confessions of a Fallen Angel by Ronan O Brien. This has been on my list for a while and sounds very good!
Synopsis –Following a near-death experience as a child, the narrator becomes cursed with the ability to foresee the deaths of the people closest to him. These visions come to him in his dreams and, following a disastrous attempt to save a childhood friend from drowning, a set of terrifying events begins to unfold. As a young man, he finds redemption in the arms of Ashling, his beautiful wife. But then the visions return…
This is a story about one man’s struggle to live an ordinary life in extraordinary circumstances; about love lost and found and the vast range of emotions that can be weathered by the human heart. This is a story where dreams come true but can turn into nightmares; a place where true love will prevail and where death is only the beginning.
