WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme held over on Should be Reading. To play along just answer the following questions.
What are you currently reading?
In book form I’m currently reading The Chocolate Lovers Club by Carole Matthews. I only started this book last night but so far its ok. I am a big fan of this authors books and always end up enjoying them, so I’m hoping this book is the same!
.
On my kindle I’m currently reading Magical Quotes and Words of Wisdom from Harry Potter by Samuel Penny. The Harry Potter series are my favourite books of all time and this is a book of quotes from those. I am really enjoying it, especially remembering what context they are normally put in, but I’m not sure if a non-harry potter fan would enjoy it as much!
What did you recently finish reading?
Over the past week I’ve read four, yes four books! These were;
The first book i finished was I Know You Got Soul by Jeremy Clarkson. I love the author on Topgear and i was really looking forward to his book. However i was a little disappointed as it just seemed that he just had opinions on various things and i didnt think it always flowed too well.
The second book i finished was Just a Kid, A Guard at the Nuremberg Trials by Emilio DiPalma. This is the true story of a man who was a guard at the Nuremberg Trials. I found this book very fascinating and i havent read anything like it before.
The third and final book i finished was Before and Gone by J.M. Pierce. This book was about a man who got abducted by aliens and then the end of the world happens, it was enjoyable towards the end, but i found the first half quite boring. There is a sequel and I’m not yet sure if ill get it or not!
The fourth book i finished was Secret Diary of a Demented Housewife by Niamh Greene. This was a chick lit book that was based around a harassed mum of two young children who was also a housewife. This was a good book, however some parts of the book were a little to unbelievable for my liking.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Next up off the shelf is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. This for me is a re-read, i read the book as a child, but ive never read it as an adult. I cant wait to see if its as good as i remember it.
