WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme held over on Should be Reading. To play along just answer the following questions.

What are you currently reading?

In book form I’m currently reading The Chocolate Lovers Club by Carole Matthews. I only started this book last night but so far its ok. I am a big fan of this authors books and always end up enjoying them, so I’m hoping this book is the same!

.

On my kindle I’m currently reading Magical Quotes and Words of Wisdom from Harry Potter by Samuel Penny. The Harry Potter series are my favourite books of all time and this is a book of quotes from those. I am really enjoying it, especially remembering what context they are normally put in, but I’m not sure if a non-harry potter fan would enjoy it as much!

What did you recently finish reading?

Over the past week I’ve read four, yes four books! These were;

The first book i finished was I Know You Got Soul by Jeremy Clarkson. I love the author on Topgear and i was really looking forward to his book. However i was a little disappointed as it just seemed that he just had opinions on various things and i didnt think it always flowed too well.

The second book i finished was Just a Kid, A Guard at the Nuremberg Trials by Emilio DiPalma. This is the true story of a man who was a guard at the Nuremberg Trials. I found this book very fascinating and i havent read anything like it before.

The third and final book i finished was Before and Gone by J.M. Pierce. This book was about a man who got abducted by aliens and then the end of the world happens, it was enjoyable towards the end, but i found the first half quite boring. There is a sequel and I’m not yet sure if ill get it or not!

The fourth book i finished was Secret Diary of a Demented Housewife by Niamh Greene. This was a chick lit book that was based around a harassed mum of two young children who was also a housewife. This was a good book, however some parts of the book were a little to unbelievable for my liking.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up off the shelf is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. This for me is a re-read, i read the book as a child, but ive never read it as an adult. I cant wait to see if its as good as i remember it.

This is my first encounter with this author but its a memoir of her life and her writings. I’m really enjoying this book, it’s not something like anything ive read before, but it’s very good.

On my kindle I’m currently reading Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne. This is the choice for the reading circle for June over on the BCF. this is a book that ive always wanted to read but have never got around to, so now is a good a chance as any to read it! I’m still reading this from last week but its a really good book.

What are you currently reading?

In book form I’m currently reading Twilight by Stephanie Mayer. This is the first time that i have read this book, i decided against reading it when all the hype was surrounding the book as it did put me off quite a bit. However, i am now loving this book. I can’t put it down when i pick it up. The only downside i have is that i have already seen the movie so i do know what happens!

On my kindle I’m currently reading Ellie Fosters’ English Coursework by Tina Orr Monro. This book takes the form of a diary and its the diary of a teenage girl who is forced to go on holiday to Greece with her extended family. This book is really good, its been compared with The Diary of Adrian Mole by some, a great YA book. I havent really made much progress with this book this week.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished one book in the last week, Apocalypse Cow by Michael Logan. I was sent this by the publishers, Transworld for review. It’s not my usual genre, but i loved this book. In parts its very funny and at times its quite horrific, two things that are making it a really good story! Its my first book by this author and I’m hoping that it’s not my last! I would recommend this book to anyone!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up is a book off my huge TBR pile, The Difference a Day Makes by Carole Matthews. This author is one of my favourites and her books never fail to disappoint. I’m really looking forward to this book.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished in book form I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. This is a fantasic book, that i wish i had read way before now. It is romantic, lovely and almost a perfect book for me. Its going on my list of all time favourite books.

I also finished A Flicker of Light by Roberta Kagan on my kindle. This book is set in Nazi Germany and is a really in depth book and it has really opened up my eyes a bit more to the horror suffered during this time in history.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up off my massive TBR pile is Twilight by Stephanie Mayer. I’m probably one of the only people in the world who has not yet read this book, but i just havent got around to it. I wasnt all that fussed when i came out due to all the teenage storm surrounding it, but who knows i might like it 🙂

I finished one book in the last week, The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult. I love this authors books they always hook me in. This book was no different, it was brilliant, but at the same time shocking a little harrowing. It also had so many twists and turns in it that I couldn’t guess what would happen next. This book is brilliant, if you get the chance do read it, you might like it 🙂

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up to read is Apocalypse Cow by Michael Logan. I got sent this book by the publisher to read before the release. I’ve held off reading it until just before its released. It’s not my usual genre, but it sounds really good 🙂

What are you currently reading?

In book form I’m currently reading The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing. This is the choice for the April reading circle over on the BCF. I only started this last night so i havent really got a lot to comment on yet!

On my kindle I’m reading Joanna’s Day by Stephen and Toni Downs. This is another freebie that  i downloaded. I am having a little bit of trouble getting into it, so hopefully it picks up soon.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished two books in the last week. The first was Sin and Sacrifice by Danielle Bourdon. This is the first book in a trilogy (The Daughters of Eve), which i own all of. This was a really good book and i would recommend it. I have the other books on my kindle but i am rationing myself for a while.

I also finished Strike Back by Chris Ryan. This was the first book by this author that i had read and it was brilliant. I did think it was the first in a series, but its not. I am going to be reading more by this author though!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up off my huge TBR pile is The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult. I was going to read this one a couple of weeks ago but needed to read the book for the reading circle first! I absolutely adore her books and am trying to read all of her books. This is one of the books that i havent yet read, i cant wait to get around to it!

What are you currently reading?

In book form I’m currently reading Strike Back by Chris Ryan. I do enjoy the modern war type books having taking a dip into my boyfriends books. This is my first by this author and I’m hoping that its going to be good. Its started well though.

On my kindle I’m reading The Firestone Crystal by Linda M. David. This book is very good. Young adult, a sulky child gets the adventure of a lifetime when she goes to summer school in outer space, but there are some other issues and foul play too. I’m really enjoying this book.

What did you recently finish reading?

Over the past week I finished 4 books! I was off work for a few days and my reading really picked up!

The first book i read wasNothing But the Truth by John Barnes. This was a memoir about the life of a police officer in britain. What made it good was he was just an ordinary guy, which added to the brilliance of the book. This one is very highly recommended.

The next book i read was Grimms Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm. Now while i was familiar with some of these tales, i wasnt familiar with them all. I could really imagine  myself reading these stories to a child. a fantastic book. I do wish it had all the stories in though, I’m going to keep a look out for even more of them now.

The next book i read was Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom by Tamara Hancock. I was so disappointed with this book, i thought it was going to be a memoir, but instead it was a how to run your life with kid’s guide. I’m really not a fan of how to books, so for me this was not a book i enjoyed.

The final book i read was One Child by Torey Hayden. This was one of those real life books about troubled children. I enjoyed this book, but it was so upsetting and the treatment of the child in question was horrific. All i wanted to do was cuddle the poor little girl.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next up off my huge TBR pile is The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult. I absolutely adore her books and am trying to read all of her books. This is one of the books that i havent yet read, i cant wait to get around to it!
